CVS Health seeks an entry-level Shift Supervisor Trainee to develop supervisory skills for future leadership roles. This position is integral for learning about operations and customer service, which includes the responsibilities of supervising staff and improving customer loyalty. The role demands flexibility in working hours and aims to prepare trainees for promotion in a supportive environment.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnight, weekends, and overtime is necessary.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or salary, with actual offers based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
