CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee in Charlotte to prepare for supervisory roles within the retail environment. This entry-level position involves managing store staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving operational excellence. Trainees will develop essential management skills and may have opportunities for promotion to higher supervisory positions.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory responsibilities, completes basic management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open Supervisor positions. These roles support the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while focusing on excellent customer service. In the absence of a manager, the Supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, and advanced communication skills are preferred. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime is required.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary, with actual offers depending on experience, education, and location.
