Job summary

MOD Pizza Edwardsville is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during shifts, train new hires, and ensure exceptional guest experiences, aligning with MOD’s standards and culture. You will help deploy the right squad, support program rollouts, and model MOD’s purpose in every interaction.

In this role you will adapt to restaurant needs, lead by example, and ensure smooth operations while guiding the squad toward success during training and shift changes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Proven ability to mentor, train, or lead informally.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow and coach others on processes and standards.
• Calm, effective presence during high-volume periods.
• Food safety and/or alcohol certification within 30 days of start date or as law requires.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work at least 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the right squad member is in the right place to support guests (deployment).
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support new program rollouts.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment to meet restaurant goals (online ordering, catering, fundraising, reviews).
• Use MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety in Back and Front of House.
• Address squad/guest concerns and escalate as needed to AM/GM.
• Manage cash within the shift, including refunds and cash in the safe.
• Take inventory and place orders with GM support.
• Adhere to opening/midday/closing checklists and use tools to execute tasks on time.
• Monitor Slice communications for squad updates.
