Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts and ensure team members deliver exceptional service while adhering to brand standards and food safety rules. You will help train new hires and monitor cash handling procedures.

The role requires strong cash handling, customer service experience, and leadership capabilities, with flexible scheduling including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Join a growing network of travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer issues.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling: wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temp checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks: prep, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
