Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams across roughly 80 travel plazas in the Northeast and Midwest. You will ensure top-notch customer service, maintain cash handling accuracy, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

You will train new hires, monitor compliance with cash policies, and support daily operations while delivering a friendly, engaging experience for travelers.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS and process payments following policies.
• Ensure proper food handling and product labeling.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
