Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations and ensure exceptional customer service. You will train new team members, monitor cash handling, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

The role requires standing for extended periods, flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, and the ability to work with a diverse team and travelers.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments accurately per policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements and all company policies.
• Report observations or concerns to plaza leadership.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
