Applegreen is hiring a Shift Supervisor for our travel plaza in New Jersey. The role involves leading shift teams to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring cash handling, brand standards, and food safety policies are followed.

You will train new hires, manage daily tasks, operate the POS system, and maintain safe, clean work areas across the plaza. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and adhere to cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prep, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and upsell products.
• Maintain product knowledge of plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
