Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is hiring a Shift Supervisor in New Jersey to lead on-shift teams, ensure top‑notch customer service, and uphold brand standards. This role requires strong cash handling and food safety awareness to support daily plaza operations.

You will train new staff, manage opening/closing tasks, operate the POS system, and actively promote products while maintaining safe, clean work areas. Join a fast-paced team that values pace, passion and performance.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements and all policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
