Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers seeks a Shift Supervisor in New Jersey to lead on-site teams across travel plazas, ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to brand standards. You will oversee opening, operating, and closing procedures while training new staff.

You will manage cash handling, support guest satisfaction, and uphold food-safety practices and inventory control. Flexibility for shifts including nights and weekends is required in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments following policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prep, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Assist in training new team members.
