Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift team members, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety in our travel plaza locations across the Northeast and Midwest.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and cross-training new staff, with opportunities to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced retail food service environment.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer issues.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and handle cash following policies.
• Ensure proper food handling and label, date, stock, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks (prep, cook, package, wrap, clean).
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain product knowledge and train new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety, and company policies.
• Report observations or issues to plaza leadership.
