Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Hillside, NJ invites a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure outstanding customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

The role includes training new team members, monitoring cash handling, and performing opening, daily, and closing procedures while supporting a wide range of food preparation and customer interactions. This position offers flexible schedules and growth within a growing network of travel plazas.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures.
• Operate POS system and process payments.
• Follow proper food handling and temperature control.
• Handle prep, cooking, packaging, and cleaning tasks.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of issues observed.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
