Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest, offering convenience, dining, and retail to travelers. We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations and coach team members to deliver friendly, efficient service.

You will manage opening and closing procedures, handle cash with care, train new staff, ensure food safety standards, and maintain knowledge of products across the plaza. This role requires flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and check temperature.
• Complete kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and all policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute various other tasks as assigned.
