Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety across our plaza teams.

You will train new hires, manage cash handling, operate the POS, perform opening/closing duties, stock and sanitize, and stay knowledgeable about products while supporting a fast-paced travel plaza environment. Flexibility for days/nights/weekends/holidays is required and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prep, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
