Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the full production process on the floor, ensure safety and USDA standards, and drive quality and efficiency across shifts.

You will lead hourly staff, train and coach teams, track performance metrics, and coordinate with operations managers to meet targets while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role requires flexibility for long hours and some weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience leading training or mentoring staff and managing a process or project.
• Strong oral and written communication while solving problems and guiding teams.
• Proven ability to motivate and coach employees to peak performance in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process from yield tracking to real-time adjustments.
• Ensure safety and USDA/HACCP compliance on all production stages.
• Maintain product quality by enforcing safety plans and procedures.
• Track yields, efficiencies, and variances to optimize workflows and costs.
• Lead monthly line meetings and daily floor leadership to align with goals.
