Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor I for the A2 shift (2:30PM-11PM, Monday-Friday). The role develops competence under guidance, leads safe operations, ensures high-quality products and regulatory compliance while driving cost reductions and a high-performance culture.

You will lead a team, schedule tasks, train members, manage changeovers, and coordinate shift activities. Strong knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs is required, with SAP and MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering is required.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Two years of manufacturing or related experience required; supervisor experience preferred.
• Familiarity with safety, quality systems, and cGMPs; good writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate safe operations in line with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely production to meet the schedule and train team members.
• Manage shift handovers and delegate tasks to meet production goals.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory agencies and conduct routine checks.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Develop direct reports with training and growth opportunities.
