Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor I for the A1 shift (6:30AM-3PM, Mon-Fri) in North Chicago, IL. The role focuses on safe operations, quality, and cost performance while building a high-performance team.

Requires a bachelor’s in science/engineering and 2 years in manufacturing with SAP and MS Office experience; aseptic exposure is a plus. Strong leadership and compliance mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering preferred.
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
Two years of manufacturing or related experience required; supervisor experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs; good writing skills.
Aseptic production experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Safety: promote a culture of safety and zero incidents on the floor.
People: deploy and train team members; conduct 1:1s and performance reviews.
Operational: coordinate shift activities to meet the production schedule.
Compliance: ensure regulatory compliance and conduct regular checks.
Performance: manage cycle times and changeovers with continuous improvements.
Development: provide training opportunities and growth plans for staff.
Operation Excellence (OpEx): participate in process improvement initiatives.
Waste management: generate and manage non-hazardous and hazardous waste per procedures.
