Job summary

HMSHost at Reagan National Airport is seeking a Manager I to oversee daily QSR-style restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and meets high operational standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

You will supervise associates, participate in hiring decisions, schedule staff, monitor safety, and manage cash handling in accordance with company policies, while delivering consistent guest service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and policy documents; converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in interview process and hiring decisions with GM input.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order; maintains cash handling.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to GM.
• Understands Health and Safety activities per the Manager’s Guide.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for all associates.
