Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead shift operations and manage team members, ensuring a smooth guest experience. The role requires supervising drive-in staff, handling opening/closing duties, managing staffing levels, and upholding policies and standards.

The position is nonexempt with a minimum of 30 hours per week and entails irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior restaurant management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management or retail management is required.
• Ability to supervise a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, and direct drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead drive-in operations to ensure a quality guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Escalate guest and employee issues as needed.
• Monitor costs and maintain standards during shift.
• Prepare and maintain drive-in records.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Perform all station duties as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to standards.
