Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead restaurant operations in Sauk City, WI. You will focus on delivering an excellent guest experience, ensuring quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean, functional store environment.

This role also involves scheduling, supervising staff, and cascading training to Sandwich Artists. You will be responsible for paperwork, equipment checks, and assisting with day-to-day operations to support the team and store success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale system (POS).

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served to standard.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional and attractive.
• Schedule and supervise staff.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists on responsibilities.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
