Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and oversee food preparation and service. You’ll keep the restaurant clean, functional, and welcoming while supervising and scheduling staff.

In this role you’ll cascade training to Sandwich Artists, supervise shifts, maintain equipment, and complete paperwork as needed. Full Time or Part Time positions vary by location and shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Use POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across the restaurant.
• Assist in shift coverage and training when needed.

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
