Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring guest experience, quality food, and a clean, welcoming restaurant. You will supervise staff, manage inventory, and handle scheduling and training.

As a Subway Team Member, you’ll cascade training to Sandwich Artists, monitor equipment, complete paperwork, and uphold standards. Compensation: To be discussed; location: Elyria, OH; shifts vary by location.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities


• Scheduling and supervising staff


• Practicing inventory control standards


• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift


• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
