Job summary

The Wedge Pizzeria in Oklahoma City is seeking an energetic Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, uphold food quality and safety, and foster a positive team atmosphere on fast-paced shifts.

As a Shift Manager you will supervise staff, manage inventory and budgeting, handle cash with integrity, and address guest concerns to ensure a superb dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation, cooking and handling in quick service.
• Supervisory experience in restaurant/hospitality management.

• Knowledge of inventory control and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
• Lead, motivate, and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols.
• Oversee food handling, cooking processes, and food production to maintain consistency and compliance with health standards.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and perform cash handling duties with integrity.
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant.
• Support staff training initiatives, including interviewing new team members and providing ongoing development opportunities.
• Assist with budgeting, labor scheduling, and overall restaurant management to optimize operational efficiency.
• Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment that promotes safety and efficiency.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members effectively.
• Familiarity with inventory control techniques and food safety standards.
• Experience managing kitchen operations, food production, catering, or banquet services preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates, team management, and customer interactions.
