Job summary

Subway Team Member is responsible for delivering an outstanding guest experience, maintaining clean, inviting dining areas, and ensuring high-quality food preparation. The role includes inventory control, staff supervision, and scheduling within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

It also involves cascading training to Sandwich Artists, handling paperwork, and adapting to day/evening/weekend shifts across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Ability to operate POS system and lift up to 30 pounds.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
