Job summary

Subway is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to uphold guest satisfaction, food quality, and restaurant standards. You will supervise staff, cascade training, and help maintain inventory control during your shift.

The role requires the ability to work various shifts, operate the POS system, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed. Compensation is to be discussed with each location.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year in a restaurant environment.
• Skills: Customer service, supervision and shift coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and maintain clean, functional restaurant spaces.
• Schedule and supervise staff, cascade training to team members.
• Control inventory and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Complete paperwork and support end-of-shift procedures.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
