Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and manage inventory and staff on shift. The role requires coordinating tasks, training Sandwich Artists, and handling paperwork as needed.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in a restaurant setting, strong communication, and organizational abilities. Various day/evening/weekend shifts may apply; compensation is to be discussed.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
