Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations in our Kentucky location. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and staff scheduling, while maintaining a collaborative team environment.

You will cascade training, supervise staff, perform inventory checks, ensure equipment works properly, and complete required paperwork. Full-time/part-time shifts vary by location, with compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Keep food prepared & served to standards.
• Maintain a clean, functional, and inviting restaurant.
• Control inventory to minimize waste and shortages.

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
