Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to focus on guest experience, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, functional restaurant. You will oversee inventory, scheduling, and supervise staff.

You will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, ensure equipment works, and complete paperwork as needed. Full-time and part-time day/evening/weekend shifts vary by location; compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Willingness to work full-time or part-time shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
