Job summary

Subway in Indiana seeks a Shift Manager to lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, maintain food quality, and keep the restaurant clean and welcoming.

You will supervise and train team members, manage scheduling, monitor inventory, handle opening/closing tasks, and ensure equipment is working. Full-time or part-time shifts vary by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
