Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to focus on providing an excellent guest experience, ensuring food safety and quality, and keeping the restaurant clean and well-maintained. You will schedule and supervise staff, control inventory, and work as part of a team to deliver fast, friendly service.

In addition to typical duties, you will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, supervise staff through shifts, and handle paperwork as needed. Full-time, part-time and various shift times vary by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and stay organized to manage shifts.
• Ability to work any area of the restaurant and operate the point of sale system.
• Lift up to 30 pounds as needed and perform routine paperwork.

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
