Job summary

Jersey Mike's in Reno, NV is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily restaurant operations and foster a team that delivers the Sub Above experience. You will coach Crew Members, help train new hires, ensure food safety, and monitor quality while keeping the restaurant clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience.
• Leadership experience or readiness for leadership role.
• Able to coach and develop others.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food safety certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team during assigned shifts by setting the example through positive leadership and exceptional customer service
• Deliver an outstanding guest experience while ensuring every customer receives a "Sub Above" experience
• Prepare fresh, high-quality subs and ensure food is made according to Jersey Mike's standards
• Coach, supporting, and motivating Crew Members throughout each shift
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant environment
• Monitoring food quality, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Managing shift execution, including opening and closing responsibilities
• Assisting with inventory, product rotation, and minimizing food waste
• Handling customer questions and resolving concerns professionally
• Supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with daily restaurant operations
