Job summary

Smashburger NYC is looking for a Shift Leader to champion better burgers on FOH and BOH teams. You will manage daily operations, training, and guest service to ensure top quality and safety.

You will lead by example, coach staff, and maintain schedules to deliver Smashburger standards while controlling costs and maintaining a positive, fast-paced environment in line with company policies.

Qualifications

• Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with restaurant management, front line employees and corporate support teams.
• People management skills to effectively select, assess, coach/counsel, develop, motivate, and lead restaurant teams.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proven time management, consistency, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of both FOH & BOH employees
• Promote a fun and positive work environment
• Provide initial and ongoing training to all employees within the unit utilizing SmashConnect, LMS, and 4 step method of training
• Reward and recognizes employee performance that exceeds company standards
• Follow COGS management procedures for food ordering and inventory
• Follow company cash policies to ensure minimal losses through theft or shortages
