Job summary

Smashburger is seeking a Shift Leader to champion better burgers through strong guest service and team leadership at our Colorado locations. You will manage front-of-house and back-of-house staff, drive a positive work environment, train employees, and help control costs while maintaining food safety standards.

The role requires effective communication, time management, and the ability to lead training initiatives using SmashConnect, LMS, and a four-step training method.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of FOH & BOH employees
• Promote a fun and positive work environment
• Manage the effectiveness of people focused processes and systems
• Provide initial and ongoing training to all employees within the unit utilizing SmashConnect, LMS, and 4 step method of training
• Reward and recognizes employee performance that exceeds company standards
• Manage daily labor
• Follow COGS management procedures for food ordering and inventory
• Follow company cash policies to ensure minimal losses through theft or shortages
• Exemplify guest service on each shift and communicate SIZZLE service standards to the employees
• Manage onboarding and training for new employees
• Ensure food safety standards are followed and compliant with local health depts.
