Job summary

Smashburger New York is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to champion better burgers on a daily basis. You will supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold food safety and brand standards while delivering a positive, fast-paced dining experience.

You will train new hires, manage daily labor, and support the Restaurant General Manager with operational excellence. The role requires strong communication, people management, and the stamina to stand for long

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete Smashburger training program.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• People management skills to lead restaurant teams and develop staff.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proven time management, consistency, and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance of both FOH & BOH employees.
• Promote a fun and positive work environment.
• Oversee training and onboarding of new hires using SmashConnect and LMS.
• Monitor daily operations and ensure adherence to brand standards and SOPs.
• Assist with scheduling, labor, and inventory control.
