Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred in Business, Food Science, Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to lead, motivated and mentor large teams of hourly associates.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations for the assigned area and shift to meet productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety, and employee engagement objectives.
• Provide direction, leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and promote safety programs and safe work practices in plant safety teams and initiatives.
• Promote sound employee and labor relations and maintain qualified personnel within the department.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to deliver results and improvements.
• Translate production priorities into daily assignments and coordinate staffing, materials, and equipment readiness.
• Monitor production output, downtime, waste, yield, and labor utilization; drive corrective actions.
• Reinforce safety procedures and escalate unsafe conditions; support incident reviews and corrective-action follow-up.
• Partner with Quality/Food Safety to ensure GMP, sanitation, and product specs; follow hold and disposition procedures.
• Work with Maintenance, Sanitation, Planning, and Warehouse to address equipment and material issues.
• Identify training needs and coordinate onboarding and cross-training; maintain training documentation.
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate updates; recognize contributions and address concerns.
• Apply labor policies consistently with HR and the bargaining agreement.
• Use data and team input to identify losses and implement improvements; ensure sustained actions.
• Maintain production records and shift handoffs to incoming teams.
