Job summary

Pollo Campero in Tampa, FL is seeking a Shift Manager to train, develop and lead a crew, ensuring smooth end-to-end operation and exceptional Customer Experience.

You will plan shifts, coach staff, monitor safety and sanitation, and assist the General Manager with staffing and inventory. A bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in similar roles or with customer experience.
• Demonstrates strong leadership potential.
• Guest-first mindset and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Preferred: Food Handlers Card/ServSafe Certification.
• Fluent in English & Spanish.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Must follow the company Personal Care and Hygiene policies. Ability to lift and push 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan duties and responsibilities for each shift.
• Verify compliance of procedures and protocols.
• Attend and resolve problems as they appear in the restaurant operation.
• Assist the General Manager.
• Coach and lead a team with no supervision.
• Involve himself in the operational and technical training of employees.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork and energy.
• Verify customer satisfaction and handle customer complaints.
• Apply a continuous improvement mindset to processes and procedures.
• Open/close restaurant.
• Assist with inventory (logging).
• Assist with staffing needs.
• Assist with controllables and labor.
• Maintain sanitation, health, cleanliness and safety standards in food prep areas and dining areas.
• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
