Job summary

Pollo Campero in New York seeks a Shift Manager to train, develop and lead the crew, ensuring smooth end-to-end operation and an exceptional Customer Experience.

You will support the General Manager, coordinate staffing, safety, and quality while maintaining a positive, energetic team atmosphere and strong service standards. Open/close responsibilities, inventory logging, and continuous process improvement are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be fluent in English & Spanish.
• Preferred: 1+ year of experience in similar roles or with customer experience.
• Ability to lift and push 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: Food Handlers Card/ ServSafe Certification.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Must follow the company Personal Care and Hygiene policies.
• Must be able to produce authorized U.S. work documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan his/her shifts
• Verifies compliance of procedures and protocols
• Attends and resolves problems as they appear in the restaurant operation
• Assist the General Manager
• Coach and lead a team with no supervision
• Involves himself in the operational and technical training of employees
• Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork and full of energy
• Verifies customer satisfaction/Handles customer complaints
• Applies a continuous improvement mindset to processes and procedures
• Open/close restaurant
• Assist with inventory (logging)
• Assist with staffing needs
• Assist with controllables and labor
• Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
• Follows and abides by all safety rules, policies, and procedures
