Job summary

Zax LLC is hiring a Shift Leader in North Carolina to oversee restaurant shifts, manage product, process, and people, and resolve guest concerns. You will train team members, delegate tasks, and ensure standards meet company guidelines.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Part-time or full-time hours available, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Part-time: 9 to 28 hours per week; Full-time: 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
• Follows company standards and local laws with regards to employee time punches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to make sound judgements and decisions which align with company standards and values.

Responsibilities

• The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities: create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager.
• Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
• Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift.
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
• Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations.
• Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts.
• Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary.
• Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guest satisfaction.
• Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete.
• Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress.
