Smashburger New Jersey is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant. You will manage FOH and BOH teammates, foster a positive team atmosphere, and ensure guests receive exceptional service while upholding food safety standards.

The role emphasizes training, adherence to COGS and cash policies, and supporting management in maintaining labor efficiency. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Experience leading front-of-house and back-of-house teams is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of both FOH & BOH employees.
• Promote a fun and positive work environment.
• Oversee people-focused processes and systems for efficiency.
• Provide initial and ongoing training to all employees.
• Reward and recognize top performance and maintain standards.
• Complete daily operational checklists, line and uniform standards, and safety logs.
• Monitor guest experience metrics and ensure food safety compliance.
• Onboard and train new staff; adhere to COGS and cash policies.
• Be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
