Job summary

Smashburger’s New Jersey location is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent guest experiences. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will drive performance, training and adherence to food safety standards across shifts.

You will lead with integrity, promote a positive work culture, manage schedules, and help develop staff using SmashConnect and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of both FOH & BOH employees
• Promote a fun and positive work environment
• Manage the effectiveness of people focused processes and systems
• Provide initial and ongoing training to all employees within the unit utilizing SmashConnect, LMS, and 4 step method of training
• Reward and recognizes employee performance that exceeds company standards
• Manage daily labor
• Follow COGS management procedures for food ordering and inventory
• Follow company cash policies to ensure minimal losses through theft or shortages
• Exemplify guest service on each shift and communicate SIZZLE standards to the employees
