Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee all FOH and BOH functions and ensure a smooth shift. You’ll support the management team to optimize food and labor costs, meet sales goals, and maintain health and safety standards.

You’ll greet guests, resolve issues, help recruit and train FOH staff, and lead by example with strong leadership and customer service skills. The role requires 1 year of related experience or 2 in food service, plus a Food Manager certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in related food service management position preferred, or 2 years of experience in other food service position.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a polite and friendly manner and handle requests.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of FOH staff.
• Train and develop FOH staff to meet customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and uniform standards.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations and opening/closing checklists.
• Monitor labor costs and contribute to sales targets and cost control.
