Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring outstanding service and smooth execution. You’ll guide the crew, manage opening/closing, handle inventory, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards while delivering a fire-grilled guest experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year supervisory restaurant experience, and EPL SPECS certification (or will complete EPL FSA after hire).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Must have EPL SPECS certification or pass EPL Food Safety Audit after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures, including security protocols.
• Coordinate crew tasks for setup, food prep, and cleaning; update inventory records.
• Handle food deliveries and verify accuracy in inventory.
• Ensure service metrics meet goals; maintain cleanliness and safety standards (QSC).
• Adjust staffing based on sales volume and monitor food production with Area Leader guidance.
• Train staff on new products and procedures; oversee cash handling and deposits.
