Job summary

El Pollo Loco in La Verne, CA is seeking a Shift Leader to guide the restaurant during shifts, ensure exceptional service, and help the team deliver fire-grilled experiences that keep guests coming back.

You will oversee opening and closing, inventory and deliveries, safety and cleanliness, and scheduling. You’ll train teammates on new products and procedures, handle cash, deposits and audits, while upholding QSC standards and a friendly service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts and ensure adherence to company standards and safety.
• Manage opening/closing procedures, inventory updates, deliveries, and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety per EPL health codes and QSC standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures; coordinate crew tasks and scheduling.
• Ensure service speed and guest satisfaction while maintaining safety and cleanliness.
• Prioritize tasks and adjust staffing based on sales and guidance from Area Leader.
• Train team members on new products and procedures; support shift operations.
• Manage cash, deposits, and audits while ensuring compliance with procedures.
