Modern Market Eatery in Prairie Village, Kansas is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to ensure shifts run smoothly, maintain guest service standards, and uphold restaurant cleanliness in a fast-paced open kitchen setting.

You will open and close, supervise breaks, run the shift, and coordinate with the team, while directing staff across stations. This role offers hourly pay with overtime, tip sharing eligibility, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience required.
Exceptional communication skills.
Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks.
Continually monitor our food and food quality.
Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts.
Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day.
Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time.
Assist Manager with other duties as needed.
