Job summary

Modern Market Eatery in Austin is seeking a Shift Leader to grow in a restaurant leadership role. You’ll ensure shifts run smoothly, uphold guest service, and help manage open and close procedures.

You’ll work across stations, supervise breaks, coordinate staff, and support the manager with daily duties. The role is hourly with overtime eligibility, and offers tip sharing and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience required.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks
• Continually monitor our food and food quality
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed
