Job summary

Modern Market Eatery is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to ensure smooth shift operations and top-notch guest service in a fast-paced open kitchen. You’ll supervise opening/closing, monitor food quality, and delegate tasks to keep service running efficiently.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of shift leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate a team across all restaurant stations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks.
• Continually monitor our food and food quality.
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts.
• Run the shift while ensuring all employees take breaks at appropriate times.
• Work all stations in the restaurant and adapt to where you are most needed.
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed.
