Job summary

Zax LLC is seeking a Shift Leader to manage the product, process, and people required to execute shifts in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will supervise team members, respond to guest concerns, and uphold service standards with a focus on safety and quality.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and ensuring guests receive excellent service while training staff to meet company standards and procedures across daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Part-time: 9–28 hours per week; Full-time: 32–40 hours per week.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to make sound judgements and decisions which align with company standards and values.
• Servant leader mindset.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all training requirements including the Shift Leader Development Plan and Food Safety Certification.
• Create a culture of high performance and coach team members to meet company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members and report performance to the General Manager.
• Prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve issues in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leadership by example.
• Communicate shift goals and motivate team to meet them and perform at their best.
• Delegate tasks and supervise performance during a shift.
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are upheld.
• Receive and reconcile deliveries, stock products, and complete inventory counts.
