Job summary

Zax LLC is seeking a Shift Leader to manage the product, process, and people required to run a shift in our restaurant. You will supervise and delegate tasks, respond to guest complaints, and ensure standards are met to deliver a great guest experience.

You will train and coach team members, set shift goals, monitor equipment, and maintain safety and cleanliness. You’ll collaborate with management to drive daily results and maintain a positive, high‑performing culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Part‑time: 9 to 28 hours per week; Full‑time: 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Successful background check.
• Demonstrates leadership, organizational skills, and cooperative teamwork.
• Compliance with company standards and local laws on time punches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Technological savvy and familiarity with company software and tools.
• Ability to multi‑task and manage time effectively.
• Servant leader mindset and leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete training requirements including the Shift Leader Development Plan and Food Safety Certification.
• Create a high‑performance culture, coach and develop team members, and communicate performance concerns to the GM.
• Prioritize guest and team member experience, resolve complaints, and maintain a positive culture.
• Communicate shift goals, delegate tasks, and supervise performance during a shift.
• Maintain service, product quality, and cleanliness to company standards.
• Oversee inventory, receipts, and stock levels; manage food production and holding processes.
• Plan shift duties, open/close duties, and report progress to management.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines; report HR and risk concerns as needed.
