Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Rochester, MI is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily shift operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. You will lead team members, ensure product quality, and drive exceptional service while managing costs and schedules on a Part Time basis.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment, with food safety certification and strong communication skills to thrive in a lively kitchen atmosphere.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Able to stand 8–9 hours; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Illinois applicants must obtain food safety certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts, assigning tasks and providing feedback.
• Ensure security procedures are followed and back-of-house standards met.
• Count drawers and manage daily cash handling.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, etc.).
• Maintain health and safety standards; ensure cleanliness across the venue.
• Restock food line and coolers; manage supplies.
• Operate cash register and balance cash.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
