Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Roseville, MI is seeking a part-time Shift Leader to oversee shifts, develop associates, ensure product quality, and control costs while delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting, strong communication skills, and a Food Safety Certification. The role offers a friendly, fast-paced environment with digital tipping and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• Must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification; after 2 failed attempts, not eligible for Shift Leader role.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment with strong communication skills.
• Capable of standing 8-9 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds; knife skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts with task planning and feedback.
• Follow security procedures and back-of-house standards.
• Count drawers and perform cash handling procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• Restock food line, chips and cooler; maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, and utensils.
• Operate cash register and balance cash; handle customer complaints effectively.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
