Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill is hiring a Shift Leader to oversee FOH and BOH operations, ensuring a smooth shift and exceptional guest experience. You will work with management on food and labor costs, meet sales targets, and uphold health and safety standards.

The role requires leadership, people skills, and the ability to train and mentor staff, with a focus on consistent service quality and a strong, within-brand culture. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1 year in related food service management preferred or 2 years in other food service positions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and training.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Handle guest requests and complaints.
• Recruit and hire FOH staff.
• Train and develop FOH staff to meet customer service standards.
• Ensure staff compliance with safety, sanitation, hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations.
• Increase sales through guest satisfaction and problem resolution.
• Maintain food quality and availability.
• Keep the restaurant clean, organized, and stocked.
• Supervise opening and closing with checklists.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile cash drawers and safes.
• Assist in all FOH and BOH roles as needed.
• Control food and labor costs to optimize profits.
• Monitor adherence to labor laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
